COMPOST

Gardening at the grainstore generates a lot of green waste! This Summer we built a compost area to upcycle the waste into useful compost which will be used to topdress existing and aid future planting. 

Turning over compost 

We are always looking to do everything we can to be as environmentally friendly as possible, this is why we work to ensure that our compost is producing the best compost at the best rate possible. This is done by turning it over every two to four weeks and moving the good compost along to the next bay. We also mix in a 100% natural compost enhancer to help speed the process along.
